Jonesborough Library Adult Book Group

This book group meets on the second Thursday of each month (unless otherwise posted) at 5:30pm. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy the book discussion, even if you haven’t finished reading it! Coffee and cookies are provided, or bring a snack to share!

Book Group Guidelines:
  • All posts must be Book Group focused, and all comments on posts should be relevant to the posted discussion.
  • DO NOT BLOCK the admin or any of the moderators.
  • DO NOT degrade any race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, culture, etc.
  • Book Group is a place to celebrate our love of reading and writing. We do not allow shaming within the Book Group, and require all conversation be respectful of each other. We expect all members to engage maturely and kindly.
  • Self-promotion is not allowed on the Book Group feed unless within a designated post by the admin / moderating team. This includes but is not limited to social media channels, blogs, MLM, charity (gofundme) postings, and polling of members.
  • Add a spoiler warning for posts that contain important information for books we have read. Please don’t discuss who dies, etc. or any other major details in the original post. Add it in a comment, so those who haven’t read the book yet won’t be spoiled.
  • The moderating team may remove posts or members who violate the Book Group guidelines at any time.
  • Any questions or concerns may be sent to the admin or moderating team through messenger.
